| SatAM (or also known as Sonic The Hedgehog)was the first Sonic Cartoon. This show was started almost a year after Sonic The Hedgehog 2 was first released. The cartoon was simply called Sonic The Hedgehog but we sonic fans always knew it as SatAM for it only came on ABC on Saturday mornings. SatAM was special in its time because it was made when the sonic games really had no plot, so this cartoon gave plot to the Sonic storyline. SatAM featured characters that were never used by SEGA in the Sonic games (although some of them did make an appearence in Sonic Spinball). Some of these characters include: Sally Acorn, Bunnie Rabbot, Antoine, Roter, and many other characters. Of course Sonic and Tails were in it too. The series, sadly, only lasted 2 seasons.
